where every choice feels intentional
(even the "weird" ones).
groove, hooks, space, energy
all working towards the same feeling.
nothing random.
everything there for a reason.

16 years old here, making mashups for YouTube
(yes you can still find them 😅)
i didn't arrive at mixing via a straight line.
i didn't arrive at mixing via a straight line.
it started with drums at 13 (best instrument, obvs), making mashups on Audacity, musical directing a school play, Garageband on a borrowed MacBook, Berklee, teaching, the darkest chapter of my life, and back out the other side.
through all of that, i've followed what feels exciting and kept what works.
we try things, keep what works (if it sucks we can always delete it), and enjoy the process.
it should feel collaborative, like you're part of the process, not just watching it happen.
that's how i approach mixing too.
